A typical day usually involves responding to support emails, investigating interface issues through log files, creating test files for our clients, modifying client interfaces, creating scripts to automate manual processes and adding or modifying features to one of our software projects. On any day, I succinctly document all of the work that I do for clients as well as creating documentation and guides internal code changes and to create comprehensive documentation for new features and procedures.
A typical day involved providing prompt responses to technology-related questions from students and staff. I troubleshot, diagnosed, and resolved problems relating to user accounts, the general operation of personal computers, and more specific issues regarding programs and personal devices. Additionally, I meticulously documented incoming issues to create a log to be referenced by other technicians. I always tried to be a rockstar communicator while assisting others and actively tried to translate my technical knowledge into actionable direction for users.
ZAStream was my Senior Year Capstone project in Computer Science. This project was developed with my capstone partner Yiwei Zheng. It is a live video streaming website similar to Twitch.tv, Facebook Live, Ustream.tv, etc...
Development of this project helped reinforce the concepts of Waterfall and Agile development, software planning and requirement gathering, testing, web development, and MVC principles, among many other things.
